Quick and Easy Beer Bread
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 cup dark beer
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Melt butter and add to dry ingredients.
Pour beer over all and mix with a wooden spoon. Batter will be very soft.
Spoon into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until deeply browned.
Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
This simple, crusty bread is a winner! It is light and airy inside, and yet the crust is super crunchy. Perfect for soup night, or sliced for bruchetta. A fabulous recipe that deserves a place in your recipe box.
